fall

fall will soon descend on that
falling blossom of colour
draping her mist
her silvered frost on tender
summer fauna
her dreamnight sounds of
crickets
calling trains
and truck tires on mile distant
asphalt

time for warmer jackets
and skies come alive with
constellations and galaxies
that blur of Andromeda
her spiral disc
and all the bright jewelled
planets in their dancing
pleasure above me

soon too the Aurora of October
