watching everything
and nothing

settling for Nirvana's

and now
"Funeral for Yesterday"

just for good measure watched
Apocalypse Now again
"Roach" is the characters
name who uses the grenade
launcher and he says "yah"
to Willard not "yes"

drinking Diet Cola and feeling
down
so tired from work
so hectic and busy
last day tommorrow
then weekend
For Mothers Day
Lori wants me to
clean the whole apartment

clothes are done and
sitting in the dryer
downstairs in the
basement

have to go there and
fold them and bring them
up and put them away

yesterday went to the
mall and carried that
twenty four cans of pop
home about a kilometer
each way
in the rain falling down
no hat
shoes soaking wet from
the big puddles
sweating through and through
from the effort

did that just to prove
that i'm forty three and
still insane
can still manage to
do things i did when i
was in my twenties

too tired to write
anymore tonight

no round disc of moon
half sunk beneath the
floating stars

as calm as water lilies
on black water

the candles burning down
the incence has been
devoured

the music had its play

time to take my head
and lay upon my queen
sized bed

let dreams withold their
storylines
and give me ancient story
times

of hills and rivers
acts of grace
the greeting memory
of remembered faces

while the moon in her
silver chariot rolls
across the charred
plains

sad eyes
what have you been
to weigh your
wings
and keep you here
landlocked
and dismal

Time for me
to take my leave
