bird on a tree

last night there was a great storm
according to the people at work
i woke up to one lightening flash
and one thunder clap

then i went back to sleep
and missed everything
and i love storms

ooooooohhhhh

work went well today
as usual
bike ride home was good
took a trip out again to
Zellers just up the hill
aways go up the steep hill
and then up the long grade
through some streets and
neighbourhoods to the
intersection of Eleven and
Seventeen and there is Zellers

came home and have been inside
since

we are out of money but
my pension cheque is supposed
to be coming tommorrow
according to some
and i get paid two days from
now from my part time work

so

we will be back in action
we have lots of food
though
no bread
no milk

we have whitener
cat food
cat litter though
hairspray
cigarettes
one litre of pop

and television
thank god for television

we bought this television
remote like i was saying
well maybe not here but
in another site i write
at

anyway this remote is the
size of a cribbage board
maybe a bit wider
its huge with big letters
and buttons and we love it

we watch television in low
light to begin with and this
thing you can turn it a certian
way and read the letters from
the screens glow and i hold
it in one hand and just punch
the buttons with another
its very satisfying to hold
it Who ever said size doesnt
matter never held a big one
before Ha ha ha ha ha ha

so it goes anyway

we had a big pileated woodpecker
on our tree outside the other
day He was huge im sure he
was the same one i saw last
year because they hang out in
the same area or maybe he was
the one pecking a hole in that
hydro pole over on Gormanville
road that i mentioned back
in the spring

huge bird like twelve inches
tall they are the size of a crow
maybe taller

it was pretty cool to see it
last time i saw a neat bird
was when i was twelve or thirteen
and i was snowmobiling in the day
out a quiet trail near where i
grew up and i came through this
grove of trees and in this little
clearing was this white bird
a big round thing eating something
like a partridge and it turned
its head and it was a snowy owl
the yellow eyes the beak etc
their eyes supposedly dont move
in their head they have to turn
their heads all over the place
which they can do like almost
all the way around
pretty neat thing to see

anyway thats the last cool bird
i saw in my life

anyway must be going now

..O..
