mystical night
cool and tinged with the pearl pink
of abandoned day

trees filled with just a hint of
breeze
the quiet hour here like mourners
drifting in their circles

the distant traffic call
clamouring for more

the dreams awaiting sleep
the actors for their roles
the REM moments poignant
and fresh come mornings revival

headphones on my head
Raveonettes long gone
the quiet filling the noise
overcome by the fan motor

always the fan

must find sleep soon
need sleep

summer here
but not

cool and the wind constant
most days

not as bad as wet last year
raining raining raining

this year its sunny

for now
