winter

everyone walking
unexpected
the delay
of autumn

first the fits of rains
and now the shoulder
of shadows
and brilliant sun

dust and mists
the frost clinging
on ghost nites and
frozen mornings

the lake greeting
with her green
mystery eyes

the islands a distant
illusion
on the palm of balance
