pain digging in
two thirty eight

watched Sweet Hereafter
like a Coen Fan Im an Egoyam
fan
and reading or trying too
except I forgot I have reading glasses

this subtle
hardship
sustained in its
growth

is spilling like
the purity of the moon

and under the stained
puddles from the streetlamp
the darkness drinks

and the dream is awakening
and making me think

stitched with wind like
whispers in the bullrushes
like sighs upon the
wake of sadness
