thoughts flicker like lightning
in the rain
moments of recall lucid and clear
and then it blurs
like rain on a windsheild
the heavy second for the
wiper arm to pass
and fill the scene back
up again with its sodden
theme

I am occupied
while the coffee waits
in the cup

seeking illumination
from inspiration
