blue violet vue

down from the escarpment
where the ice age halted
shoving its weight through
stone like a shear blade right
there south and south east
south are huge mounds of gravel
and broken rubble tall hills
escarpments unto themselves

from a contour view of Google
maps one can see its affects
so the dog and i walked tonight
poking about the woods Looking
at the students fire gathering
sites in the woods
the creek that runs happily through
the rock the tilted hill

and coming down to the flat feilds
now filled with houses commercial
structures and car lots the
horizon to the far east my favourite
was as blue as Diaryland blue here
and then a band of violet and then
further up the evening blue again
and riding high behind all of that
was the full moon in this crisp
clear air A magical show And all
along the coffee houses and gas bars
were lit up and the car lots twinkled
...
