the lake pewter watchful
doubts
as crisp as bird visages
cutting movements

my days of living
with the shut door

no queen direction or order
no princess tales

the silence
the evening
forever
while our lives
mitigate
in new and needed
directions

I am happier
the new crowd younger
and more appeasing
to my old eyes

the new princesses
blue vibrant eyes
and dark raven hair

makes the rains a pleasure
