year come and gone...
the leaves as I remember
them..the smell of the creek
and cresote on the line
north.....the mists on the glue
plant in the morning while
the dog and I awake and walk

beneath the overpass...
beneath the sky filling with
light....an hour upon
another..the tapestry of minutes
like shadows....

like a turn
