cuffs

legs long and white leather
skater shoes following the
dog....damp leaves and sticks
and old junk and bricks..
the dumping trail...
the broken pail...
down to the tracks the
pavement trail...
everyones been keeping it
back..the weeds and branches

the creek and rail line
shinning before the
dark concrete river of the
overpass
vibrating with heavy
traffic
curving on its way
east and west....
the pillars
and beyond that.,
the field the huddle
of poplars the glue factory
tall tank towers and
square structure...
the shiny tube chimneys
that pours out white steam

home..pant cuffs still wet
from the weeds....typing
this in the cleaned up
basement..
the fans dusted blown out
and oiled in my old machine
.good for another five months
quieter....less ossilations
vibrations...
the screen back to auto adjust
everything now with its ghosts
like myself with my creaks
and crankiness first thing..

but the day
beautiful and grey
with its dripping rains
and the last leaves to go
golden on the violet
dark wood...

full moon last night
beautiful...

beautiful...
