walked downtown
its nice today
warm out
blue blue sky

lots of apples on the apple
trees on the railroad right of
way the old rail line is gone
but the bridge overpasses are
still there 1912 written in the
cement

Lake Nippissing is twenty miles
wide and fifty miles long
Its name means little water
Champlain the explorer who came
through her ages ago thought it
may have been the Pacific ocean
Of course this caused a chuckle
with the natives
He would have been all excited
thinking it was the ocean
