Yet another entry about my Muse

listening to Arabian Knights
and watching the video
cannot believe this came
out in 1981

i fell in love with this
the very first time i heard
it i think this and Happy
House were the first two
of her songs i heard

i still never tire of
listening to her or the music

I think i would have to say
that Arabian Knights is my
favourite of all time

my first record album was
Blondies Parrellel lines
i never got into the Ramones
or Sex Pistols where i lived
nothing like that would be
broadcast on the local or
large american stations
that reached where i lived
and there was no cable

I used to though buy this
magazine called Cream

so here i go listening to
Isreal
i dont know
its very hypnotic and her
voice is plaintive

from 1984 to 1986 i would
listen to the band and get
pissed fallen down drunk
i lived in between alcoholic
bouts and many jobs and
vehicles But i always made
sure i had a cassette collection
of her I think that i did
have the clash and i liked
them very much London Calling
and so forth

never got into Duran Duran or
Wham or Boy George i listened
to Annie Lennox and Sinead Oconnor

we only had this one friday night
when North Bay would air videos
after eleven and they were grainy
and jerky from the VHS format
and the antennae would have to
be pointing directly north or
we got nothing to see

okay heres a crazy one
Candyman the video is a gas
the song is about a drug dealer
i am not used to watching her
videos

yah so anyway only on a Friday
and only under the best atmospheric
conditions would the station come
in My freinds and i all teens
then would gather in front of the
television and wait eagerly for
the show to come on

technology has advanced so far
these days cable and internet
and the little phones with the
cameras all the other gadgets
satellite radio now
MP3's

i love the new technology
i still refuse to buy a cellphone
and my old clunky cd player
still pleases me

i heard that Siouxsie is coming
out with a new album
or cd i guess its called now
wow she just keeps on going

anyway devoted all my time
again to her

my little craft signs are
coming along nicely
i am taking my patient time
with them and doing a good
job the radio is bearable
today

well must be going

Lori has to take her clothes
back again the pants are too
small now and she doesnt
like the shirt

so we will take them back
to Zellers
another bus ride

hah hah
