rainy thursday

work was busy today
and i cleaned the room
sink floor spatuled the
floor swept corners
moved boxes wire brushed
the plaster from the
tools and knives
sifted the plaster from
the sand table

was so nervous when i first
started there three months
ago now im just right in there
moving and shaking listening
to the MOOSE FM on the radio
playing the same songs over
and over every day

and countless other melodies
but even though its the same
songs its comforting in a way
and everyone sings along to
the songs they know over the
machines and radio

well between the bending and
lifting the garbage pail full
of dust and plaster and putting
plaster in the other garbage
pail etc and then all that
damned running i am wiped out
and then its raining out now

which is nice its warm
and the Lake is all open now

took a different walk to work
this morning I googled a
satellite view of my city and then
zoomed in at different places
and checked out the neighbourhood
where i work and found a little
creek and walking biking trail
real close so i took that today
it was nice

they have a paved path and someone
has planted trees along the way
cedars and balsams and there is
a little set of rapids
the water is so peaceful to listen
too

i am so tired now
was just given er the whole day

had dinner with Lori at a resturant
downtown it was busy a nice place
good food we had fun we talked
it was very nice to do this once
in awhile

lulled to sleep by the sound of
the computer

i remember once playing a Playstation
one game the game had dinasours in
it and a reseach station cant remember
the name of it Dino crisis or something like that it was a cool game
but anyway part of the game was near
this cliff and they had ocean sound
effects It was at night and part of
the path to get into part of this
research station fell away in segments
of the game anyway i played it till
i got to the missing path and stopped
playing the game and fell asleep
with the television going and all
through the night and morning i could
hear the waves crashing on the beach
below and the seagulls crying
it was so cool ha i never forgot
that

this apartment is the quietest
place we have had yet
its super quiet at night
a very nice street
our nerves have gotten much
better since we moved out of
that old fifties place

and we have our therapy pets
Tweet and Caramel
they sleep with Lori
her nerves have gotten so much
better since we have both cats
now Tweet is not alone anymore
during the day

North Bay is losing some jobs
an explosive manufacturer is
cutting back due to competition
losses but another plant is coming
to town with seven new jobs
and there is always like tele tech
and wal mart and goverment positions
with people with education

we have lots of businesses that
make minning equipment due to the
fact that north of here or west
there are mines operating
gold and silver copper mines
and forestry

i watched the water bomber the
other day pick up water off the
lake fly low over the waterfront
and drop its tanks and go back
again and do it all over
it was fun to watch

anyway must go now
tired
television
rubbing Loris feet
maybe painting
gotta extend that Loons
body the baby on the back
looks good though
coming along fine

got lots of wooden plaques
from a freind who does
wood working
im all set now for the
spring summer
