the water skiing scene
behind the riverboat

When i grew up
we knew a guy who was
blown out of the water
in Vietnam by a mine
he had a plate in his
head he was just young

he came to Canada

Lori poked her head
in and asked why i was
up so early

why am i awake
I usually sleep in till
three o'clock on days
like this
