Visage and cameos

and in passing saw Janet once
again in the Dollah stohr
her smile and eyes

twenty some odd years have
come and gone

yet it was 1982 once again
the black shoes
the tie and artist sketch
pad under my arm

the mustang parked out there
with all the other faculty
and student vehicles

Peter Gabriel's eight track
waiting for three thirty
to arrive

a short thirty mile drive home
from school
through feilds and farms and
Canadian Shield
rock cuts and swamps

homework piled in the bucket
seat on the passenger side
aviator shades and a cigarette

Then she was gone somewhere
down the aisle of the busy store

and i had my buggy keeping track
of my Lori Our "swag" in the
chrome basket
