standing here looking up
through the heavy wires
the big hydro

where does it come from
where does it go

work slow and usual

came home and worked on the
house vacuming and scrubbing
moving furniture
tilting couches like windmills
finding lost treasures

now sitting here quiet in the
night
reading writing composing

computer tower humming silently
no wind buffeting the apartment
no traffic rushing past on the
old street

quiet and dreamlike qualities
