orgami's Diaryland Diary

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

more on the events of the ninth of June

this sky is dulled with
polish
like a silver coin
lucky and worn
kneaded through knuckles
spun and caught
ringing
rippling through
time and space

the gulls are crying
circling the small
escarpment of this
once glacial lake

cars speed up to take
the long grade
flashing past our lot
sheets of fleck paint
chrome and plastic
tinted glass
black spinning rubber
tires
sometimes people
are looking right in
see me sitting on the deck
looking back

our squirrel fountian goes
round the little wheel made
of wood
water trickling peacefully
through small rounded stones

wind chimes ring
and jangle in the breezes
the trees dance with slight
gusts
the tempo slow
no tango today

im so tired
from playing basketball
out front with everyone
at our gathering

the barbeque
the fifteen trips down
from the top floor
platters of food
condiments
meats vegetables
refreshments for
the freinds

exhausted today
feeling every muscle

as I should

glad that winter
will be here in another
five months
and NOT tommorrow

our garden gets underway
slowly at the top of the
stairs

aircraft are flying in
its a busy day at the
airport
