awakening

emerge my shadow falling
like soot
Have I forgotten how grave
the nightmares have been
How all that touched me
and left a ragged burn

Im moving through myself
like the sun at dusk through
the trees stretching down
till just the miniscule
sanity of reasons ignite
in the gentle swaying of the
dark

comfort me my freind dread
how Ive lost the way in looking
for the right
in all the wrong
