fathom deep this shelter seep
the fire flickering in the
small furnace door
steam dreams hiss their
thump beneath the haunted
floors and wind sucks the
black mouthed vapour smoke
sucked across the tree tops
and ropes of snow clotted
on the tangled limbs and
weeping trim the icicle
flesh
