the wind strokes the grass on
the undulating clay landscape
of a glacial plain forgotten

The blue of a spring morning
fills the eyes in the oval
mirror the wallpapered room

orange juice in a glass with
red and green pinstripe rings
like the old house
the dark shellac
the hidden things

propeller aircraft
brilliant like a flare
behind the curtians
the mellow voice
of the television
cabinet in gleaming
wood
its dull dials warmly
shine
