we are born

of visions
of taste touch
sight and sound

the universe
revealed beyond
the mere outstretch
of our hands
or those extending
their worlds

aperatures of logic
and comprehension
to be groomed to
protocol to examine
rules to test

and the inevitable
parting

yet another door
