just the usual day

beautiful day outside
clouds and wind
cool as fall should be

sunshine on chrome and
windowpane

papers blowing down the
street
cars idling at stop lights

I need a coffee now
turned in my library books
not sure if they were late
hope not

they were Leonard Cohen
and Aurthur C Clarke
strange mix

brought along my cd player
and headphones
listening now to THE ORGAN
a band
not sure where they are
from though Female vocalist
I like them

ten to twelve p.m.

we are having a gathering
at our place
a backyard thing
on the deck
Lori wants to invite
some people over
cook something on the
barbeque

I am looking forward to this
it must be fun
it just must be

fifty eight minutes remaining
to write

We had an outing from at work
the mental health people took
us clients out on the lake
for a cruise on the Cheif
Commanda a catamaran boat

we went out past the islands
and then went for a stretch
towards Sturgeon Falls
and came back to the dock
There were a lot of people
on board they had music
and Lori and I drank coffes
and talked with people who
came up to our table on the
enclosed deck
we never went atop the boat
to the open deck

other then going around the
uninhabited islands
there was not much to really
see It was a sunny day
and the waves were not
wild the lake was placid
compared to its whitecap
capabilitys

five to twelve

the machines here are all
filled up with people save
one busy this place becomes
on the weekend

i guess i must get going
get that coffee into me
