a long write about politics and not the weather for a change
i have nothing to complain about
i live well
i have the love of my other
my child
my new found freinds
and lately for my self
cannot help but to notice
the news on MSN here
the monitor screen with
the text headings to click
on like the climbers on Mt Hood
sad and unfortunate
imagine their high hopes turned
to discomfort and then terror
in those weeks time or that poor father lost in
the snowy mountian forest
with his family and car
striking out to bring help
and dying alone cannot help either to not see
that Iraq dictators trial or
the news reports of it as it
progresses I remember when it was reported
that he had ordered the Kurds to
be gassed and the photo of the
dead child appeared here it
is so easy to just not watch
television the news comes on
around six and then ten thirty
or eleven lots of shows on to
turn to i havent read a large
city newspaper in ages barely
read the local news The Nugget
havent read a Toronto Star in
over a year and my used to be
favourite Globe and Mail
i am certian that they will have
carried the news that he will be
executed very soon though and he will be executed i am
certian this man was larger
in the american eye then the other
once backed by america dicatators
like those south american ones i dont think its going to stop
the dedicated fanatics who fight
against the americans now
its horrifying to see the effects
of the roadside bombs going off
on television or hearing about
the fire fights and the aircraft
being shot down not to mention
the civilian workers over there
who are killed with equal animosity
and diligence there is always war
always will be a war
only now its right here
in my space on my little
screen i am so obediant
too addicted too
maybe this is the Soma
that aldous huxley of Brave
New World was writing about
maybe Marshal Macluhlan was
completely right in his sixties
observations that

is hanged there will be sites
on this computer that i may
be able to go and see his
execution all from the comfort
of my home and when that
happens am I to feel a social
avengence to all the deaths of
young people kurd and american?? i clearly remember still
nicolas chuachescu or however

getting dragged out back of
some place and being shot while
lined up against a wall the lens
being brought up close to his face
the wounds and blood of them
listening to their protestations
that i knew were only going to
be the last known words said only by talking to a few people
that lived through the troubles
in different periods of times
in different places of the world
have i a very little understanding
of what it is like to not have
it so nice living here in Canada politics a man from a country at
war told me he could not go from
one town to another for twenty
miles or people who were armed
and nearly all were would shoot
him or the risk of it was very high
he spoke of the poverty that was
much worse then in Canada in fact
that was why he was in Canada there was others a man who had
lived through the invasion of hungary
what it was like to fight against
the russians a kid from a battlefeild
people from vietnam and from world
war two german soldiers vietnamese
etc i have read a lot too
my parents did well to try to
explain to me that war is wrong
tried to raise me to be law abiding
say sir and madam and hello and
goodbye i dont know what or
how i would turn out to be if i
was drafted for a war reality
i have a mental disability
bad back etc so i probably wouldnt
be going how does this adress MSN news that
he will be executed?
well it just makes me think even
if i dont click on the heading
that one more major figure who
will be put into the history books
will have been in a position of
power thinking that he was not
going to be ending up like he did
caught in that little dirt hole americans never caught ho chi mingh
or the korean leader during the
korean war Maybe maybe the russians
caught hitler but the world never
got to hang him or shoot him after
a trial or arrest hah even Hess
mysteriously was found hanging but this guy they did capture
put on trial and will hang him
and all of this how do i feel???
well i'm an eye for an eye kind
of guy Hamurabi all the way but its one man
look at how many are already
dead nothing is going to bring
any of them back and this will
continue this conflict
his death though significant
will be a mere drop of blood in
the rivers that already run so thats why I write about North
Bay and lake Nippissing and the
moon and stars and what Tweet
is up too Its only because I
am well aware of what is going
on out there beyond the physical
borders the internet borders
are limitless (did I really just write all
of that??????????????)
