North Bay the jewel of mid north

coffee with Cinnamon today
black as hell

its good that way

i used to buy the camp coffee
in the little bottle distilled
stuff that was
English made
it was awesome
havent seen it around lately
though

heavenly

sun shinning
made it through a tough night

too much made here to let it all
just fall apart

took a day off work
hope they wont fire me
they are flexible though
and i make up for it when
i go

lake has whitecaps once again
went downtown to pay bills
and such

could see if on my bike as i
rode along the flat city downtown
core
the old glacial lake bottom
in parts
can see it from Google Map
just look up North Bay Ontario
Canda and check out the shoreline
can actually see where its receeded
over the last ten thousand years

North Bay was famous in the thirties
when the Dionne family had six little
girls born in a log home They were
an overnight sensation with the crown
and provincial goverment taking over
their lives from that day on and
the good doctor They were put on
display and people drove for days to
come and see them they endorsed
products for years and years and
eventually a huge lawsuit from all
that happened a sad but true tale

North Bay is and was an airport
where American B-24s landed on their
way overseas and it became a crucial
base for missles and an underground
anti nuke radar detector

its since been mothballed the
complex having been moved to the
surface now that its more easier
to defend with modern capabilities

You can see contrails of jets
turning over North Bay because
of the rotation of the earth
they adjust it because North Bay
is a major airport

lots of commuters head to Toronto
every day in turbo prop jets
and come in at night or weeks
end

they build firefighting planes
here ones that scoop water from
lakes and drop on fires
in the spring time We can see them
practising on a new plane they
have built over the winter
testing the pick up functions

North Bay was pretty rough looking
when I came here back in 2001 late
but has since grown and refurbished
its old self with everyone cleaning
up the city cutting shrubs trees
painting roofing building scouring
from a tired old dame to a respectable
lady once again

I am very happy with the way things
look these days!!!!!

now its just worm hunting

heh heh

always have those
those pesky worms
