Sunday sunn

hot and humid today
like thick tropic layers
the flesh of rainclouds
still sodden in the earth

sunshine hazed emerging
from behind the mists
of heaven
so hot and ever present

we stay in away from the
hot dry streets
the drooping limbs of trees
the lake with its small
waves and wash

we hide in sheltered shade
