Slant Duece
Svelte is the moon hovering horizon Look out the window
reaching through the limbs barren and thoughtful catching dreams like winking stars They turn at Polaris but I miss the dogstar Sirius Sleep and toss talking loud in those hours city sleeps like a summer wind fat in the thicket of leaves whispering their dry voice singing me away and unlike the sharp clear fires they waver like strings of a lyre drawn You are my dream You are my asumptions the aura of everland gleaming like a new blade sure alloy you walk unafraid though you tremble like an aspen The eye of the future mauve as dusk appealing and now the moon is away tending other hopes
watching other tears dripping like prayer candles
