Five

daze come and gone
where have I been

away
away
away

now the rains fall
the callous depression
of fall
the dampness and water
dripping
dreaming and the window
paused open paused closed
and the wind stirs the
thick dark curtians
and an aircraft lands
the airport light sweeping
on the torn clouds
the empty parking lot at
three am
the highway trucks humming
through the bypass
and fall asleep
fall into the dream
Its sunny there
and warmer

not these cold sheets
(the heater not turned up
I want to shiver Want to
feel mortal feel human..)
