Path

tired of the weeds and dogs struggling
the linear path
so I snapped off limbs that grabbed
at my hats crushed back the long
brown fall weeds and grasses with every
walk three times a day since October
early..Maybe even September

then the old road where it once
ran across the tracks years ago
threw the old limbs off it and
kicked the leaves back Dragged
away the little logs people dump
along the way
widened it up so much that people
are driving down here now to take
a look or maybe park at night

the dogs are not getting hung up on
the sticks anymore..Its as wide as
the mall now walkway almost

wind blew some trees down and others
are keeping the trees and limbs off
too

It was sad and forgotten
now its vital and more people are using it....
I like it

tonight we went down and the dogs
heard a deer crackling..it was exciting
and the dogs were very into it
it was rather frightening too
beats television!!
