working together in house today I fell off..
I wake up and take on things feel like I want to own the view from my hilltop position and what have I got.. worn out shoes..one hundred fifty dollar APEX.s worn out from dirt biking and dragging my toes on the pedals at stop lights to get the crank gear pedal position so I can push off and clear the intersection..get going to work because Im always late....but I want to take the dogs on walk by train tracks and overpass great curving overhead shadow in light so we can see tracks and deer if any...Only at past dusk just do we see the deer Right over Wallace Road heading past Pete Palangio Arena and other items of interest long way..Like Ontario Northland Coach garage....etc. Wickstead met Wallace just off tracks back in day and maybe crossed there too..Sixty three maybe Crossed within a stones toss really...Hmm never thought bout that...Real reason they put in the over pass here in sixty seven..Its modern and curving and expensive...But they built the Autobahn in thirties!! still serving the country!! picked up rocks via kicking dirt from slanted slope to abutement..concrete poor graffitti and paint gun splatter columns to walk...stones in shoes and went shopping today..forgetting to kick out stones...HOw can this happen!!!! now have burned out toes on one foot... put groceries away..happy dogs sniffing everything. shopping with Bunni team work...cart loaded to top..Bunni out for smoke in her russian style jacket..al eighties and faded dark purple etc..long coat...shit..reminded me of Carolees eighties jacket too now..long brighter purple when he danced at Deerhust Ontario old disco and watched Shania Twain then yet big star on shows in tourist place.. Beautiful that place and Shania and Carolee then..Forgot about Purple coat and gold lam eighties shirt she wore and her man pants and Bryan Ferry music in the old mill house we lived in made for the old lumber mill that was a very big deal at the turn of the century...I was lucky to work there in the eighties for a spell in the Nineteen twenties built plant..everything was pretty much the same right to the attitude of the locals.Walked into town across tracks right there after work..One of the bosses liked me...Flooring plant cutting rough planks and then finishing it under same long roof..Lift truck took skids of hardwood and lifted it to sawyers via electric motor cables from pit..shove birch maple at them,,,kick off one by one spacers..lift truck..shove maple birch at them..lift truck..Take lunch..no one talking..outside doors of loading bays to main floors..quiet..back to work..People telling me about lift truck..big platform like elevator pit about twenty feet deep coming off pulleys and falling down into hole....people getting dislocated shoulders...Hunters Bay looking from hill towards CNR station hugging base of Muskoka Huntsville Hills and old overgrown lands where the steamer trains ran passenger drop trains and met steam boats for other muskoka resort places..Many many of them..all beautiful lands...worked years later as chimnye sweep and bell canada contractor buddy with partner putting in poles and anchors.... mill storey though..Mill was so good and tannery right near here..wealth housing etc.... Round House for Shaw Anglo Leather Company for bands and Stables for horses for mill..Now Canusa Mill I think.. I loved the ancient place..it was redneck bizarre....walked by Carolees house where she and I would live in eighty nine together one winter spring..Met her at New Years Bar end of night.. came and took me from friends house..end of time there.. just passing time..then got hired on at building Water Treatment Plant Huntstville Ontario for year...She was real estate Broker too and Deerhurst employee showing big companies about then.. Good times..but bad times now.. places move out..shut down resorts some..took Mill down in late ninteties I quit , had to get ride fifteen miles away and was late three times and felt bad so left...dusty place anyway and I didnt want to be sad fellow who fell with lumber on truck into pit...I still remember all this well..the ancient beautiful factory on the lake.. many more memories of this town and locations where I worked walked home etc.... Carolee and I still freinds I still like Bryan Ferry ..I could walk you all these places and talk you about it..beautiful landscape but hard lifes...
